These 7 Unique Happy Hours are Elevating Resident Events

14.10.2022

by Catherine Rotman

Whether you’re a resident event planning veteran or just getting started, happy hours are an easy and warm way to help people unite after a long work day, and relax. Residents love an excuse to relax, and what better way than to do it over drinks? As one of the most popular types of events in a community, Happy Hours are lively and fun with just enough relaxation and a way for members of your building to build relationships and positive interactions with one another. Pairing an event with a local vendor allows a chance to network with area businesses, and support your local economy. The combination of a happy hour hosted in partnership with a local business owner can make for an endless array of happy hour themes depending on the type of event you think your resident events might enjoy. Keep reading to check out several unique happy hours our residents have been loving this fall, facilitated by Circuit.

Wynwood 25 Sunset Hour “Glow & Spritz”

Imagine unwinding after work with an entire spritz bar of bubbly adult beverage varieties and a glow bar to trial some nourishing and uplifting products for your face and body? This recent Happy Hour for residents of Wynwood 25 included beauty products, cosmetics and personal care lines to sample and purchase from locally owned business owner, Shade County. To compliment the experience, residents had a choice of lemon or Aperol spritzers, champagne, or infused water to choose from.

Sentral on Michigan Wellness Mocktail Happy Hour and Raffle

Our hosts who were Life of the Party Solutions went above and beyond for residents at a downtown Chicago property’s wellness-inspired Happy Hour, providing the entire bar setup of flavorful mocktails from scratch, sharing valuable information from naturopathic MD, and running a raffle for a personal training session from Circuit. Their 3 featured hand-crafted mocktails included an iced wellness tea with elderberry, raspberry and sea moss, a ‘Health on-the-rocks’ mango pineapple turmeric ginger beverage, and Green Shots of wheat grass, ginger and cayenne.

Blu on Marina Blvd. Mimosa Bar & Bites

For residents of the Blu on Marina Apartments of Ft. Lauderdale, a twist on a traditional happy hour featured a Mimosa Bar with Strawberry, Raspberry and original Lemonade juice flavorings to pair with some bubbles and finish with an assortment of fruits for garnish. Snacks included a large charcuterie selection of hummus, cheese, veggies, crackers, and chips set up on the pool deck.

Cosmos Charms & Chains

This dazzling event included an encore from Miami custom-jewelry designer JoRocco Handmade jewelry! Residents of the Wynwood 25 property had a chance to enjoy a Cosmo cocktail bar while previewing JoRocco Jewelry’s latest collection of beads and jewels. The first 15 residents who showed even had a chance to have a curated charms and chains necklace-making experience hosted by the Sammie JoRocco herself, of JoRocco Jewelry.

EXO Apartments Cider Tasting

Residents with EXO apartments of Reston VA were recently invited to join their neighbors for a tasting of seasonal ciders from D.C.’s premier cidery, pizzeria and cocktail bar, ANXO. A cider expert guided residents through a 90-minute session including the tasting of 3 seasonal ciders; residents also learned where they could purchase these unique varieties locally.

Whiskey Tasting at the Earl

Residents from The Earl of Arlington, VA got into the swing of the fall season with a whiskey tasting hosted by Bardstown Bourbon Co. one of the largest producers, buyers, and bottlers of whiskey in Kentucky. The full experience lasted 90 minutes and included 3 tastings: Bardstown Bourban Fusion #7, the American Highway by Brad Paisley, and Bardstown Bourbon Discovery #7. Whiskey tasting was paired with a charcuterie selection of meats and cheeses.

Wings and Brews

For the Howell Apartments in downtown NY, residents came with an appetite to enjoy an assortment of buffalo, barbecued, and garlic parmesan wings with dipping sauce varieties, as well as wings, flavored water, and a brew bar. Uno and Jenga games were provided for an extra layer of group interaction. The entire display of food and beverage along with the ambient music was coordinated and set up from Ledisha, female owned entrepreneur of Lyfe Events.

An event is all about the details, but planning any type of gathering is no easy feat. With so much to be mindful of, it can be easy to miss out on the finer points—you want to provide your residents with an awesome experience and don’t want to shortchange them. As you put together your next happy hour or resident event for the season, don’t be afraid to think outside the box. By partnering with local businesses and vendors and considering ways to integrate their offering into your events, happy hour events can be the start of a blossoming relationship, and a truly memorable experience for your residents too.
